Steps to Rectify the Connection Problem

When users use T-Mobile Wi-Fi calling, they have reported receiving an error message REG91 as one of the most common issues they face. T-Mobile subscribers can no longer make any Wi-Fi calls if they are using them but are having issues using them.

If you are experiencing issues using Wi-Fi calling with T-Mobile, here are a few steps you can take to resolve the problem –

Connection to Wi-Fi

T-Mobile phones are not always the cause of the problem; most times it is your Wi-Fi network. Sometimes people try to connect their mobile to public Wi-Fi. When connecting to public WiFi, you normally have to go through the login page. The thing you need to check is whether you have received the correct redirection link.

If you’re not sure what the old password of the Wi-Fi is, it is recommended for changing it to something else. When the T-Mobile is connected to your WiFi, you can use it.

Issues with the SIM

Sometimes the SIM used can also create problems in the WiFi calling. To eradicate such problem follow the steps –

Go to the settings app. There you will see the SIM toolkit. After that click on the option ‘storage’. After that you will see an option of clearing cache, you need to click on it. Your phone will need to be restarted after that.

There is one drawback of doing this step: It will clear all your data. But it will solve your problem of Wi-Fi calling.

Contact T-Mobile. A message will be sent to you about updating your network settings. This will allow you to use your phone again.

Phone Update

Sometimes if the update on the phone is outdated, then also you can face problems in connecting. You are required to update your phone and it is recommended that you must keep your phone updated. This will prevent a future occurrence of such a problem.

Changing the Router Settings

Most of the time it is noted that the router causes the problem. Whether the ports are misplaced or the IPv6 configuration is incorrect is one possible cause for this.

This problem cannot be fixed on your own. For this you need to file a formal complaint with your internet service provider regarding the issue you are experiencing.

Another thing you can do with your router is to allow your router to reboot after turning it off for a few seconds.

Once the SIM card is re-inserted, you need to cycle Wi-Fi and then reinsert the SIM card. After all these steps you should reboot your phone once you’re done. Now, you can make a Wi-Fi call.

Rectify the REG99 Error

REG99 error can occur because of the incorrect address being entered. It can be rectified by following the steps mentioned-

First of all, you need to log in to your account and need to see or confirm whether the address entered is correct or not.

If the entered address is incorrect you simply need to go to the profile and then to the account settings and then click on the address.

Now you need to re-enter the address you need to erase the previous one and put the right address in there.

When registering, if you skipped the option for the E911 address on activation or did not have the address, you’ll receive the REG99 error.
